Light in a vacuum motion at a perpetual fastness of 299,792,458 cadence per 2d ( about 186,000 miles per second ) . This peculiar value is quite arbitrary and it depend on the convention that we adopted back in 1975 of what a second and what a measure is . Light itself , as far as we can severalise , always moves in a vacuum at the same speed – here , in the Andromeda galaxy , and in the furthest stretch of the visible creation .

And while we think of it as the speed of light , it crops up in so many places in natural philosophy that it is reductive to just consider it interrelate to electromagnetism . It is the speeding at which massless particles move , and no entropy can be transmitted in our universe quicker than this specific value .

So why is it   this value ? Why is it constant ? And why does it pop up everywhere ? We do n’t have a conclusive reply just yet . It is one of those thing we do n’t know that lead at the complex machinery of the universe … hopefully justhiding behind a curtain we are seeing beat .

Not to sound too much like a cabal theorist , but it seem that “ it ’s all join ! ” At a fundamental level , there are pinch that link all the place of the world to one another , and this is why we see these quantities toss off up in formulae about dissimilar strong-arm things . Based on what we make love so far , it could be potential one day to have our whole physical understanding in a single model : the hypothesis of everything .

We do n’t roll in the hay if the population would be possible with slightly dissimilar values , or if these were the only potential value it could have had , but the hunting for an answer continues . And the constantcmight literally light the way for man to actually find that out .
