Whitney Bischoffis going to be a mom!
On Tuesday, the formerBachelorcontestant announced that she and herhusband Ricky Angelare expecting their first child together – and it’s a boy!
“Sorry I’ve been MIA, I’ve been busy growing a little angel for the past 7 months. We are so excited to welcome our little man in May,” Bischoff, 33, wrote on Instagram.
“As you can tell, Lillie can’t wait to be a big sis! 😇Thank you@londonwalderinteriordesignfor helping us create the coziest space for our little one.”
The duo, who met in 2015 on the dating website Bumble, wed in October 2017 at the luxury Wequassett Resort on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Bischoff, who was once engaged to former BachelorChris Soules(they split in 2015), walked down the aisle to “My Old Kentucky Home,” a tribute to her Southern roots.

“As soon as I met Ricky, I knew,” Bischoffpreviously told PEOPLE. “I was in a very raw emotional state after my breakup. And I could be myself with him. I didn’t feel like I needed to put on a facade. I felt back to normal. It was a very refreshing feeling.”
“I’ve always wanted to get married,” she added. “I was scared for a while that I wouldn’t be able to find that. But I have absolutely no regrets. Everything happens for a reason. And I’m so happy.”

Bischoff, a fertility nurse who worked at theOva Egg Freezing Specialty Clinicin Chicago at the time,previously opened up to PEOPLEabout the ‘misconceptions’ of egg freezing.

“I really don’t understand why any woman wouldn’t do it,” she said.. “It is definitely an investment. Egg freezing literally allows you to freeze your fertility and time.”
She continued, “We really recommend people freeze their eggs between the ages of 25 to 35. But, any time is better than no time. By freezing your eggs, it’s really giving you options for the future. There are so many reasons to freeze your eggs. The biggest question is: Why wouldn’t you?”
