According to the outlet, Dee did not state why the 50-year-old was hospitalized. However,AllHipHopreported on Sunday that Krayzie Bone checked himself into a hospital in Los Angeles on Friday after he started coughing up blood.
Doctors reportedly detected in the musician’s CAT scan a bleeding artery in one of his lungs. As a result, he was immediately operated on and placed on a ventilator as of Sunday, per AllHipHop.
TMZ reportedMonday that Krayzie Bone was placed in an induced coma to “help [with] the healing process,” as the artery is still bleeding.
Sources also reportedly told the outlet that the Cleveland native’s medical team plans to go into surgery again to repair his blood vessel.

It is unclear if Krayzie Bone’s recent hospitalization is related to his condition, though member Layzie Bonedid ask for prayerson Tuesday and said an update would be forthcoming.

Our family is facing the unexpected hospitalization of Krayzie Bone with strength, and your prayers are a beacon of hope,” hewrote on Instagram. “Soon, we’ll share an update, but for now, let us come together and keep our love and thoughts focused on his recovery. Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate your understanding during this time.”
The rapper’s fellow Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Bizzy Bone wrote on his Instagram Story on Sunday, “Pray 4 Kray.”
Fellow Ohio nativeLeBron Jamesexpressed his support and well wishes for the rapper’s recovery, “🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽to Krayzie man!!!!” hewrote on Xon Sunday.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony — which consists of members Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone and Flesh-n-Bone — was formed in 1991 in Cleveland, Ohio.
The fivesome is regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop/rap groups of all time with hits “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” “1st of tha Month” and “East 1999.”
The Grammy-winning group is the only rap group to have collaborated withTupac Shakur, theNotorious B.I.G., Big Pun and Eazy-E before they died.
