Speaking with Entertainment Tonight in February 2023, Seyfried noted that she andher former costarsare"100% into" making a cameo. “It’s been a long legacy forMean Girls, and I think we all kinda just need to hang,” she told the publication.

Speaking with PEOPLE at Cap’n Crunch’s 60th Birthday Bash during Coachella, Rapp noted that the upcoming adaptation isa “cool and very special” version of the well-known story.
“This is a very specific version of the musical that has a really specific place in a niche, culty theater way, that I think expands it to maybe people who aren’t super into theater,” Rapp teased.
