After wandering through the shuddery “ Heroes funfair ” that NBC created across the street from Comic - Con – complete with icky cotton candy – we were primed for this season 4 trailer . think the heavy - handed “ heroes vs. villains ” theme from premature seasons ? Well this time of year we ’ll get the weighed down - handed “ redemption vs. retaliation ” binary star . Whoa – deeper than a pit !
Things to check out for in this trailer let in fresh Big Bad : Samuel the Irish fair guy with punk clownhead – and his mysterious brother Joseph , whose hairstyle is as yet unknown . ( What is it with this show and cheesy theatrical performance of the Irish ? I ’m brought back to that plot bow when Peter discover himself in Ireland in an alternating future of quarantine and bad accents . ) Samuel ’s also catch a carnivalesque mutant posse , who are about as menacing as cosplayers at Burning Man . Seriously , could n’t we have like jumbo robots or something ?
Other menaces include Sylar - in - Nathanface . Sylar ’s been mystify in Nathan mode by brainwasher Matt , but he feels like something is weird . Make that very uncanny , since Sylar sustain popping out and pronounce “ I want my physical structure back . ” I estimate when the Sylar personality asserts itself , we “ see ” him , though he ’s really in Nathan ’s physical structure ? My teeth hurt .
Even more exciting : Claire has a Special Friend With The Brunette Hair Of Evil . They pip each other smoky , college - lesbian looks and talk about cadaver . I like where this subplot is going . Will they be menaced by Irish clownhead ? We can only trust .
In addition , poor Hiro is being suck into Samuel ’s carnival . One of his Irish - accented promises is that “ others like them ” will be “ draw in . ” draw into what ? A challenger to the Jim Rose Sideshow ?
From what we ’ve go through here , I guess we ’ve got another time of year of Useless Hiro . And Tracy has rejoin from glass - shattering doom with One Sole Purpose . REVENGE ! Or is it repurchase ? Seriously this is getting a small too philosophic for me , kids . I need to see Tracy raw . Oh full – we do get to see that .
