Adventure opens with Cameron repay from a stumble to Cincinnati . She ’s refresh and ready to get back to work . you could see it in her face , and feel it in her position . Meanwhile , thing are n’t run that well for Gordon either . In fact , Gordon is such a little shit that , dare all logic , I ended up hating him more in this instalment than I already did . We start the episode at the Clark home , where Gordon is feeling bright and bright , home for the morning , get praise from Donna , who thinks he ’s there to lionize his Padre - in - law ’s birthday . In reality , Gordon is an inconsiderate idiot , who was just doing a cause by to modify his shirt and shaving before going back to the office . But our female child is learning something . She ’s not get to fall to spell again like she did when she lost all the code she had written last hebdomad . She ’s raise a spine , she ’s learning , and she ’s evolve . And that ’s very good for the plot and for the promise of the intact show .
So after Cameron burns Joe ’s father , the next day she ’s back at the bureau . With her newfound attitude of authority , she fires her own new boss , tells Joe she ’s going to be the manager now . And she pluck out a team of the best programmers to be her squad to build this sonofabitch . She is unhesitating , she is strong , and she ’s going to make it happen — you could just experience it .
Another piece of the patch from last night ’s installment that we have to advert on is Donna . Oh , Donna , my poor Donna . Not only is she allow to shoulder almost all of the responsibility of managing her and Gordon ’s place life , there ’s also her Book of Job , where she ’s not exactly being appreciate by her foreman , Hunt — who you ’ll think back was once her fellow many years ago — for going above and beyond . Donna is a badass railroad engineer and a mother , and seems to be made of polytetrafluoroethylene . Her husband also sucks about as much as potential . So you ’re almost cheering for the two of them .
The sequence closes with Joe thinking he ’s fixed things with the Japanese LCD maker , and learning that it ’s Gordon ’s poor founding father - in - law who did recon to redeem their roll in the hay . He also thinks that his founder has taken the Wall Street Quarterly from his star sign , which is straight . But you see Joe Sr . very symbolically leaving the magazine in the anteroom of his Dallas hotel . It ’s very obvious that Joe , in spite of the attractive outside , is an emotionally complicated person . But we have n’t really gotten into what that means in substantial life yet . He , as a graphic symbol has not been fully realise , and I just do n’t quite get what his softwood is yet .
That ’s sort of where we ’re left . Lots of dada issues flying around . But also a glimpse of promise from Cameron , who seems to have originate up and spring up some firmness of purpose in the last sequence . In fact , the two chief female characters have evolved from hollow shells to some of the most interesting region of the show , increasingly the most compelling reason to keep find out . Cameron and Donna are perish to come together to make this personal computer thing happen . You just screw it .
