OK , technically pollen is n’t sperm – it ’s the tissue that makes spermatozoon . But there ’s sure a destiny of it caught in this bee ’s hairsbreadth . There ’s so much packed on her back wooden leg that it form them look like puffy pantaloon .
Those “ pantaloons ” are so full thanks to a braggy skirmish of stiff hair that contain the pollen in property as the bee flies from flower to flower . Mind you , she ’s not take in pollen to do the plants any favors . For her , it ’s a protein robust food – she’ll deplete some herself , and utilise the rest to feed her brood .
But with so much pack away , there ’s plenty left over to accrue off as she goes from flower to bloom and feed each plant she visits .
