Emma Robertsis changing things up!
On Saturday, Feb. 1, the actress, 33, unveiled her new light red hairstyle when she shared two cute selfies onInstagram.
“🌅 SUNRISE RED 🌅,” she captioned the post, while tagging Wella global ambassadorNikki LeeandRiawna Capri, co-owner of Nine Zero One Salon
The first image showed Roberts in a black long-sleeve shirt and natural makeup as she looked straight at the camera while modeling her red locks. Her hair was styled in beachy waves with a dramatic side part.
In the second photo, theAmerican Horror Storyalum smiled with her eyes closed as she held her hair from the side.
In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Lee detailed how Roberts' new look was executed.
“I created this shade for Emma as she needed to go red for an up coming roll. The inspiration came from the last time we took her red in 2017. This time, we kept her more on the copper side,” Lee said.
“I used Wella Illumina on her base because it’s reflective and natural looking. I then pulled Wella Color Touch through her mids and ends to balance the tone throughout, giving it richness and lots of shine,” she continued. “Riawna and I added inGreat Lengthshair extensions for volume and length. Riawna cut her ends with wispy layers.”
Lee added: “We love this look on Emma — it’s giving a very modern take on Julia Roberts hair in the ’90s.”
The actress had blonde hair prior to going red. She notably changed her hairstyle in December 2020 when she wasspotted leaving a hair salonwith a blunt, shoulder-grazing bob styled in defined waves. She had also lightened her amber strands to achieve a blonde color dubbed “dreamy butter cream.”

In October 2024, Robertsspoke with PEOPLEat an event for Fashionphile in Los Angeles to play aquick game of Slay or Nay. She had been announced as an ambassador of the consignment company a few months earlier.
When asked about shopping for pre-owned handbags, a specialty of the luxury accessories reseller, the actress gave it an enthusiastic “Slay!” Roberts also declared lending your friends your Chanel is a major slay, but said your bag on an airplane is mostly a “nay.““It’s a nay but I do it all the time,” she said. “It’s a huge nay.”
