Doja Cat’smotherDeborah Elizabeth Sawyerhas alleged that her son Raman Dalithando Dlamini abused both her and the singer.
According to the documents, the “Paint the Town Red” singer’s brother has allegedly made her feel “unsafe and traumatized,” knocking her teeth out and giving her a series of cuts and bruises.
The filing claims that “Raman has verbally assaulted her in a very degrading and demeaning [manner]" and has made Doja “feel unsafe and traumatized.”

Doja’s mom also alleges Raman stole and destroyed some of the Grammy winner’s belongings.
Sawyer claims Raman has been physically abusive toward her “several times” in the past year, choking her and threatening to kill her. She also alleged the most recent violent incident with her son happened in early January.
In the documents, Doja’s mother says she’s been granted temporary restraining orders against Raman since 2017, but they’ve now expired.
Representatives for the “Say So” artist have not yet responded to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.

Meanwhile on Wednesday, Doja was announced as one of the headliners of this year’sCoachellaValley Music & Arts Festival 2024, alongsideLana Del ReyandTyler, the Creator. The lineup also includes a reunion fromNo Doubt.
She is set to headline on April 14 and 21, asJ Balvin,Jhené Aiko,Lil Yachty,DJ Snake,Reneé Rapp,Bebe Rexha,Coi Leray,Tems,Victoria Monétand more take their respective stages.
Doja released her latest albumScarleton Kemosabe and RCA Records in September 2023, which she confirmed was on its way with a now-deleted post onInstagram, announcing the title of her record.
It was the follow-up toPlanet Her, which arrived in June 2021 and was nominated for both album of the year and best pop vocal album at the64th Grammy Awards.
