And then there ’s the longsighted stint of some random standstill - up comedian telling jokes in a nightspot , follow by a blues chanteuse who ’s actually not tough . I was waiting for the monster to erupt into the nightspot and kill everyone , but it never happened . It was just an apology to have a retentive stretch of the film - Divine ’s friends execute . The monster does kill someone in the alley , perchance near the club , possibly international nautical mile away .
