The actress and first-time attendee — who took home the Oscar forbest supporting actressfor her performance inThe Holdovers— dressed to impress at the96th annual Academy Awardson Sunday.

Beforehitting the stage to accept her award, Randolph, 37, arrived on the red carpet in a custom Louis Vuitton gown in a stunning shade of pale blue.

The powdery, pastel dress featured contrasting textures and several stunning details including a shimmering bodice, sheer skirt, boa-like sleeves and train that trailed several feet behind the actress.

To top off the look, she channeled Old Hollywood glamor with a wavy, blonde side part and added an extra touch of shimmer with sparkly drop earrings and a glossy lip.

It’s no surprise that Randolph delivered such a killer look for her first trip to the Oscars. Prior to awards season, the actress told PEOPLE, “I’m a fashion girl. I love the details. For every red carpet I’m doing mood boards, I’m pulling hair references, nails references, makeup references, different swatches for a wardrobe.”

She wore several glamorous looks throughout awards season including a custom burgundy Rodarte gown with an embellished bodice an peplum detail. The design served as inspiration forthe star’s makeup, which featured a matching eye look.

Ahead of her first-ever Oscars appearance, the actress opened up about her pre-ceremony regimen, telling PEOPLE, “It really comes down to self-care.”

Randolph — who has not only swept this award season (taking home aSAG Award,Golden Globe,Critics’ Choice Award, BAFTA and Indie Spirit Award for herHoldoversperformance) but also proved to be a red-carpet staple — added, “It’s a marathon these six months. It’s surreal.”

“I feel like I’m in the Navy or the Marines,” she continued. “I’ve never experienced anything [like this].”

Calling the experience “unknown territory,” Randolph added, “Everyone is just saying pace yourself, try to stay as present as possible, stay hydrated and take good care of yourself, because it’s a marathon.”

Speaking about her own Oscar nomination, Randolph told PEOPLE, “I’m mind-blown.”

“I haven’t fully processed it, but it was overwhelming in the best way possible. And to feel all of the love and the support has been so tremendous,” she said, adding that “it’s just a beautiful reminder.”
