Looking to keep making that sweet , sweet geek money that The Walking Dead so easily brings in , AMC has annunciate a new reality series called ( for the second ) Geek Out , which “ takes the ultimate superintendent - rooter of a specific film , comic book , author , thespian , athlete , musician , picture secret plan , or television series on an adventure that emotionally connects them to their obsession . ”
Admittedly , this seems a whole lot more fun ( and less embarrassing ) than watch dweeb get fleeced for their prized collectibles , or forcing them to vie to see who ’s the most socially awkward . Plus , the show will be co - hosted by Ernest Cline , author of Ready Player One , so that ’s a very good sign . Here ’s the deets from the press release :
