TheKarate Kidfranchise is being introduced to a new generation.
The movie wasfirst announced in September 2022and a year later, it was announced that Macchio and Chan would be reprising their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Han, respectively.
Since then, plot details have been kept tightly under wraps, however, we have gotten a handful of exciting news about the cast and release date.

At the moment, Sony Pictures hasn’t released an official logline for the film. However, seeing that both Macchio and Chan are reprising their roles, it appears that the new movie will be set in the same universe asthe originalKarate Kidfilms as well asthe 2010 rebootthat starredJaden Smith.
