Scientists working in Greenland have discovered an extensive aquifer of meltwater that ride under the Greenland ice sheet all year round — but it ’s not hump if this reservoir , which is about the size of Ireland , will ever make its way to the ocean .

The discovery came as a terminated surprise to a team of geoscientists who were wait to find layers of dry snow .
