I want to give thanks you for having this contest , as my man , Jill , let me and my mate Clare hang out on the enclose pack of cards ALL weekend . It ’s been awe-inspiring . The deck of cards sits over a bluff , so the treetops are at human summit , and its shout the tree star sign . We are permit outside in this enclosed space with “ human superintendence only ” . Anyhow … she was n’t paying attention ( silly cleaning woman ) and I hop up on the rail … above a 20 foot drop cloth ! So I got him a leash and we started exploring around the house . Now he screams and howls for it every Clarence Day , reek the doorway to be let out . He did n’t like the leash at all at first , but now when he sees it , he straightaway stays still to let it be put on , because he knows it ’s sentence to go outdoors . A draw of the time I opine he ’s just a dog pin down in a cat ’s body ; he rolls over for back massages and belly rubs and he sniffs and lick people when he first meet them . On this picture , he ’s just being his awesome self while star into the wilderness of the backyard . Equipment : Fuji X - T1 , 35 mm prime , F 2.8 , shutter 1/4,000 , ISO 200 .

Yuliya Daroshka

Budino

What better way to spend a summertime mean solar day than taking a catnap ? Budino ( Italian for pudding ) is an expert at such endeavor – he has turn catnapping into an artwork form .

This is Budino ’s favorite spot on the sofa . Not only does this spot offer the good can in the house to live Cat TV of squirrel and hummingbird , he gets to prop his header up using the armrest WITHOUT having to wield any drive of his own . drowse off and waking up to Cat TV as he pleases without ever having to move . ( This was use up using a Nikon D800 with a 50 mm at F2 at 1/125 . )

Mitu

Mitu is a substantial basement khat . She commonly lies on her favorite professorship , often in the shade and sleeps the day away ( nighttime are when Mitu indicate us her sound – or her worst ) . On days when this mysterious big lily-livered thing comes out in the sky , Mitu can not keep from go outside in the balcony , where she can observe the insects buzzing around the plants and the creation unfolding below . Always from a shady station behind the toilet , though , because basement cat attend you , but you do n’t see basement big cat . Mitu ’s moving picture was take with a Canon Eos 650D with a 18 - 135 mm lens of the eye at 135 mm , fluorine - check of 5.6 , ISO 400 at 1/250 . A very rarified piece of equipment was call for for the taking of this depiction , and it was pretty hard to find it up here in northerly Germany : the sun .

Turbo

This is Turbo . He is a cat . He is a very limited cat . Whoever assembled him did n’t follow the directions . He seems to be missing a few parts , and the I that were used are cat factory irregular rejects . He walks funny . He makes unpaired , non - cat noises . He snores even when he ’s alive . His front legs and paws bend in directions that they really should n’t . He get it on going on car rides and we ’ve even walked him on a III with the andiron . He have a go at it the wiener and will accompany her anywhere . He just turned six years former , but is only as big as six calendar month old . He is a very special cat . Ultimately , he ’s perfectly levelheaded ; he ’s just not put together correctly . When it ’s cat nap sentence , he loves slumber in purse , boxes , or anything he can fit himself in to .

When a fresh box comes in to the house , like this one did Sunday , he hop in and owns it . He will defend his new spot to the death . As of writing this , he has been in the box for at least 15 hours , only leaving for a minute to have a few bites of food when no other Arabian tea was within sight . I put the camera down on the bed right in front of him and click a few pics as he had finally moved enough in to the light to potentially get a good shot . Please note that he is alive in this film . Those eyes are open . That ’s normal for him . He can see utterly fine out of those trivial puss . He is a very special cat .

I shot this on our Nikon D3100 with a Nikor 18 - 55 millimetre lens at 18 mm , ISO 800 , f/3.5 with a 1/40 second exposure . I prevail the RAW persona through Photoshop CS6 to do some minor colour correction and dividing line adjustment .

Dee Dee Del Fuego

Took the exposure this good morning . The subject is my rescue Japanese Bobtail quat and minor Tumblr celebrity , Dee Dee Del Fuego . My married woman and I found her starving to death on a street corner here in Tokyo , roughly a year ago . I ’ve been taking a lot of pic of her , she ’s quite photogenic and not television camera - unsure . In this shot , she ’s desperately trying to catnap aside from the live sun peer through the mantle . She ’s not too fond of the recent hotness undulation that ’s hit the city and we do n’t have central air . I used my Fujifilm X - E1 mirrorless camera equipped with the Fujinon XF 27 mm f/2.8 pancake electron lens . The photograph is at ISO 800 , f/3.2 , and 1/600 shutter speed .

Luca Eandi

Meow

This is Meow , sitting in my married man ’s electric chair in our place at around 5 p.m. It ’s one of her favourite place to curl up and sofa . The Lord’s Day coming through the window provided some lovely backlighting , so I set the camera up on a tripod at her oculus - level and wait . She obliged me with this look after a few minutes of obligatory ignoring me and grooming . Nikon D3300 , f4.8 , 1/15 , ISO-400 , +0.3 picture bias . The lens was a Nikkor 55 - 300 , gear up to a focal duration of 100 mm .

Margaret Boas

Stan

This is Stan . Usually his comrade Ollie is the one sit here at the top of the basement step but today it was Stan . While talk with two of my dog lover booster via text message and getting a image of Amanda ’s Shitzhu lounging on her boyfriend in the pool ( also attached for embarrassment role ) , I remembered this competition and had to show them that cats are full than domestic dog . Not certainly this is proof of that , but if this pass water the swing at least Stan can say he is a star on the interwebs ! And he likes Wilco also .

Taken at 1/13 second ( not sure how I hand held that , I guess the floor gave me an assist ) , f/2.8 @ 24 mm , ISO 5000 with Nikon 24 - 70 on a D750 . Processed with Lightroom and a change VSCO TriX predetermined .

Otis

My wife and I pick up Otis from an animal tax shelter about 9 years ago . Back then he was about 1 so we think he ’s about 10 geezerhood previous now . He is loving and affectionate and a real motherfucker . He like to nuzzle and then bite . We have to log Z’s with our bedroom threshold closed lest he comes in and attacks any toe or finger’s breadth that might be hanging over the edge of the bed . He ’s always hungry and always want to get out side ( he ’s an inside cat ) . He round leg sometimes for no apparent reason . When it came time to shoot him he play like a real cat , doing whatever he wanted to do , not what the photographer ( me ) wanted him to do . So here he is rest on the couch – because he really does n’t do much more than that ( except snipe me , at which point it ’s operose to take a picture of him . ) shoot on my Nikon D600 with a Nikkor 50 mm quality , f/1.4 lens at f/2 , ISO 1800 , 1/60 sec . Did I observe he ’s a tangible by-blow ? We screw him .

Brian McCabe

Well-Fed

I found this guy tied up in Noryangjin Fish Market in Seoul . The owner of the cat sold mostly clams and shrimp . I let the cat attending by click my finger’s breadth above my lens before use up the shot . Canon 60D 50 mm Lens f/1.4 ISO2000
